Big Birdie in the Sky

Thirty-six hours and counting until Lauren's first plane ride...on the big birdie in the sky as my dad used to call it. We're armed with everything we can think of that might help make the 3 hour trip (in a confined pressurized space) go a little smoother. It seems a little unreal that we're actually going to be face to face with Dr. Paley soon, one of the few people on earth that can possibly fix Lauren's ankle and save her foot. This trip is, to the say the least, a reminder that our little girl's future is going to be more difficult than most but it's a trip we have to make. This trip will answer a lot of unknowns for us. Hopefully, we'll be coming home Sunday with a plan of attack.
