Up North

A long weekend in the U.P. made for a nice family getaway.  Lauren sat up front on her Daddy's lap during our car-ferry ride to Drummond Island.
After numerous attempts at explaining to Lauren that we were simply staying in a little log house called a cabin, she maintained her theory that we were staying at "Cabin's house" and that we'd be meeting this "Cabin" fellow at some point during our trip.
We spent an afternoon with the doggies at one of our favorite beaches.
We took a day trip to Mackinaw Island and sat on the top deck of the ferry...windy but fun!
Lauren enjoyed her Daddy-driven horse and buggy ride on Mackinaw Island.  She and Nana took in the sights from the back seat, then she climbed up front to help her Daddy hold the reins for a bit.
