Summer Trip to Springfield

Aunt Jill graduated from nursing school and that called for a visit to Springfield. Lauren loved spending time with cousin Brittany and Great Grandma too!

At 16 Months Old

Lauren, these are things you're up to at 16 months old:
You're walking!
You took your first steps on your own one month ago today.
You took four of them to be exact...but who's counting?
You're starting to prefer walking over crawling now.
You fall a bit but your balance improves by the day.
You're getting more and more confident.
You dance standing up now too.
You have a new show you like called Swamp Critters.
You flap your arms like a chicken, and smile when we do it back.
You think it's hilarious when people pretend to stumble into things.
You blow perfect kisses now.
You give actual kisses and it's always such a sweet surprise.
You say "aye yai yai", and an occasional "dada".
Your hair is so soft and curly, and it's growing so long!
You like to eat with a fork.
You'll use it to eat fruit, cooked veggies, and beans.
You can drink from a straw.
You practice drinking from a cup while you're in the tub.
You are so smart and have overcome so much already.
You make us so very proud Lauren.
