Good Times in Myrtle Beach
Lauren loved all the ride-ee rides...wonder where she got that from?
Daddy vs. Papa means Lauren wins!
Lauren had some neat experiences at Ripley's Aquarium, including petting a hermit crab with MawMaw.
We went to an awesome pirate dinner show, complete with mermaids and sea lions. Lauren was so engaged in the show, she didn't eat a bite of food!
Alright, alright... she's not that bad!
A Makeover Fit for a Princess
Aunt Rita suggested that Lauren just might like this little store in Myrtle Beach called "Sparkles". Did she ever! Sparkles is now officially Lauren's favorite store in the universe! The highlight of Lauren's visit to Sparkles was a makeover that came with a t-shirt, tutu, custom-made bracelet, tiara, makeup, manicure, hair up-do, and five hand-picked sparkle gifts. Once Lauren was completely transformed into a princess, she got to go on stage for a Chicken Dance lesson. She played the role of a princess perfectly, waving to people as she strutted down the mall and stopping to dance to music coming from a restaurant. I'm not sure who had more fun, Lauren or her parents and grandparents who got to see her enjoy herself so much.
Myrtle Beach 2011
Lauren showed Big Kiki the ocean view from our 9th floor balcony.
We always hit the outlet mall during our Myrtle Beach trips. Lauren didn't mind showing off her new outfits afterwards.
We had great weather for playing on the beach.
Steve's Aunt Rita and Uncle Jack offered us their condo for the week. We had pools, a lazy river, and the beach just an elevator ride away. Thanks Rita and Jack!
Our Little Jet-Setter
Our recent trip to Myrtle Beach was our first time flying since Lauren was nine months old so we weren't sure how she would handle it. As it turns out, we worried for no reason! She loved the moving sidewalks at Detroit Metro, she was fascinated by the planes, smiled during take-off, and was totally content during the flight with her dollies and special snack. She did complain about her ears bothering her at the end of each flight but seemed fine as soon as we landed.
