Baby Update

29 weeks pregnant with the twins.

Our baby boy (profile shot). He's been pretty laid back and cooperative with all the ultrasounds.

We thank God that all three of us are healthy to this point. The entire family is anxiously awaiting the arrival of these little ones! Steve and I are especially excited to see Lauren's reaction to her baby brother and sister. She adoringly named them "Faffie" and "TreeStump" one day and the nicknames have stuck throughout the pregnancy. Now and then she says things like "I can't be a big sister, I'm just a little girl."  But, most of the time she is making plans for how she is going to help take care of them.  She's going to rock them, feed them spaghetti, and teach one to walk while the other one sits on the couch...there will be a lot of adjusting but I know Lauren's going to be the best big sister!

Baby Bangs

Lauren decided to give her bangs a little trim on Saturday morning. She frequently plays beauty shop, so when she came up and asked Daddy if he liked her new haircut, he thought she was pretending and played along with her. When I noticed what she'd done, she explained to me that her hair was bothering her eyes a little. She loves long hair and likes wear her hair down all the time so it really surprised us that she'd cut it at all!

Our hairdresser, Kim, was able to squeeze Lauren in later that day and shape her original cut into "baby bangs".  She also had a talk with Lauren about how she went to a special school to learn how to cut hair, so Lauren should only let Kim cut her hair...no one else.  Lauren agreed.
