Bye Bye Cassidy Cat

Our sweet cat Cassidy passed on this morning. As Daddy was preparing to take her to the vet, Lauren comforted her by covering her with blankets and petting her. She rubbed the corner of a blanket on Cassidy's nose, one of Lauren's favorite things to do to comfort herself. Lauren was very concerned about Cassie and how the "kitty went bye bye in a box". We know Cassidy is reunited with her buddy, Bootsy, and he's probably cleaning her as he was often known to do.

At Two Years Old

Lauren, these are things you're up to at two years old:
You always get so excited about going "bye bye".
You're even more excited if you hear that our destination is a pool.
You attend swim class, and you start dance classes this week.
You love to dance to a Nick Jr. show called Fresh Beat Band.
You're pretty good at playing the drum too.
You love anything and everything princess.
You're very much a girlie-girl.
You throw an excellent tea party.
You love to play with your kitchen, and help in mommy's kitchen too.
You name all of your play food, even the broccoli.
You like to paint, but only until the point that you get messy.
You usually request a bath at that point.
You're pretty good at catching and throwing a ball.
You like to play outside, and always prefer walking on your own.
You're so independent!
You boss the pets around, but also give them hugs.
You go to the library with Grandma for story time.
You kissed a boy behind the puppet show curtain one day.
Your daddy didn't take that news too well.
You say "hi" to just about everyone, you're so friendly.
You usually address people as "man", "lady", or "girl" accordingly.
You're so polite, you melt our hearts when you say "thank-you".
You know and say the names of everyone in the family, pets included.
You're starting to talk in short sentences.
You continually amaze us at how quickly you pick up on things.
Your favorite foods are oatmeal, apples, spaghetti, pizza, and crackers.
You of course give ice cream your "mmm...mmm..." approval also.
You're no longer nursing...a tough farewell for you and your mommy.
You're more and more grown up with each passing day.
You're so fun, we'd pick hanging out with you over anything else.
