Our Fourth of July this year started with a group cake baking effort. We used princess decorations to create a flag on the cake which included red apples, white pearls, and blue high heels. After Lauren's nap, we celebrated the holiday by having a cook-out and watching fireworks with the whole family at Grandpa Dan's house. This was Lauren's first year to watch fireworks and she wasn't so sure about them. When the show was about half over, Lauren started saying "all done, fireworks all done", then asked to go back in the house for more cake!
